Friday night football, a brand-new pitch and local rivals that haven’t met since 2017,

Phoenix travel to Foxbury Avenue on Friday night (19:45) to face Chislehurst Glebe, with both teams looking to get their league campaigns up and running.

For Glebe, the match marks the competitive opening of their new 3G surface and Phoenix will be keen to spoil the party.

Darren Anslow’s men will also want to bounce back from last week’s opening-day defeat and FA Cup exit after Monday night’s replay with Leatherhead.

Phoenix Sports arrive with a full strength side with no new injury concerns despite having played twice in 48 hours this week. Following a disappointing start to the league season at Hollands & Blair, Darren Anslow’s men know three points will be crucial to build momentum and get their season up and running.

The Phoenix manager said

"We know Glebe will be organised and hard-working, so we’ll need to match their intensity from the first whistle.

The lads have played a lot of football this week, but if we stick to our game plan and show the quality we know we have, we’ll give ourselves a great chance to get the result we want."
