Phoenix Sports return to SCEFL Premier Division action on Wednesday night (7.45pm) when they make the short trip to Park View Road to face Erith & Belvedere.

Jake Goodman’s side will be looking to build on an impressive 3–0 victory over Rusthall at the Christopher Russell Stadium on Saturday.

Jamarie Brissett gave Phoenix the perfect start by opening the scoring after just two minutes, finishing calmly after Louie Downey had won possession high up the pitch. Khayrie Harris doubled the advantage before half-time, lifting the ball into the roof of the net following a pass from Brissett.

Phoenix continued to create opportunities after the interval and Lyle Della-Verde completed the scoring to seal a convincing victory and extend the team’s unbeaten run to three matches in all competitions.

Wednesday’s fixture will be the first meeting between the sides since a dramatic encounter at the Acclaim Handling Community Stadium in April, when Erith & Belvedere came from behind to claim a 3–2 victory.

Tom Borders opened the scoring for the Deres before Theo Lukyamuzi levelled with a composed finish. Della-Verde then converted from the penalty spot to send Phoenix into the break with a 2–1 lead.

Ryan Fowler equalised with a free-kick shortly after half-time before substitute Luca Sanford scored the winning goal with ten minutes remaining. The defeat ended Phoenix’s hopes of securing a place in last season’s play-offs.

Goodman’s side will travel across the borough to carry the momentum from Saturday’s performance into another important league fixture.

After keeping a clean sheet and producing a clinical attacking display against Rusthall, Phoenix will be aiming to deliver more of the same under the lights at the Acclaim Handling Community Stadium

The Acclaim Handling Community Stadium is located at Park View Road, Welling, DA16 1SY.

Supporters travelling by car should leave the A2 at the Danson Interchange and follow Danson Road towards Welling. Turn left onto Park View Road at the traffic lights, with the ground situated on the left-hand side. There is no dedicated stadium car park, but street parking is available nearby. Supporters are advised to arrive early and park considerately.

For those using public transport, Welling is the nearest railway station and is approximately a 15–20-minute walk from the ground. Direct Southeastern services run to Welling from Barnehurst, Bexleyheath and central London.

The 89, 96, 486 and B16 buses all travel along Park View Road and stop close to the stadium. The 89, 486 and B16 can also be caught from near Welling station.
