Venue: Alex Yee Ladywell Arena, Lewisham, SE6 4QX

Phoenix turn their attention to cup competition on Wednesday night as they travel to the newly named Alex Yee Ladywell Arena to face Lewisham Borough Community FC in the SCEFL Challenge Cup.
Jake Goodman’s side will be looking to produce a positive response after suffering a narrow 1–0 defeat away at Rusthall a week ago, a game decided by a late goal just four minutes from time.
It was a frustrating result for Phoenix, who more than held their own against one of the division’s unbeaten sides, and they’ll be eager to make amends with a strong display in midweek.
There could be more minutes for new signings Tom Mitcham and Paul Lee, both of whom have made promising starts on Tuesday. The pair impressed on their recent appearances and are expected to be involved once again on Wednesday night as Goodman looks to rotate his squad and maintain energy levels across a busy run of fixtures.
Despite recent cup exits, Phoenix have shown encouraging signs in recent weeks, combining improved performances with a defensive stability. The Challenge Cup now presents an opportunity to regain momentum and win a trophy.
Hosts Lewisham Borough, currently competing in Division One, have made a solid start to their season and will relish the chance to test themselves against Premier Division opposition.
Phoenix, meanwhile, will be determined to get back to winning ways as Goodman’s side look back to go on a winning run.
With both sides eager to progress, this Challenge Cup encounter under the lights promises to be an entertaining and competitive contest at Ladywell Arena.
