Bearsted visit the Christopher Russell stadium on Saturday

Phoenix Sports will have a score to settle on Saturday (3pm) as they return to league action, welcoming Bearsted FC to the Christopher Russell Stadium.
The hosts come into the fixture desperate to find a win, with boss Darren Anslow challenging his squad to kick-start their season with a positive result.
Phoenix will have to bounce back from consecutive league defeats, having fallen 3-2 at Sutton Athletic a week ago before being well beaten at home by Tunbridge Wells on Tuesday night.
Anslow’s men have shown flashes of real quality, with Lyle Della Verde impressing in midfield and already finding the net four times this season but plenty of vulnerability too.
Bearsted, meanwhile, have enjoyed a strong start to the 2025/26 campaign—winning three of their last five games, including a 4-1 victory over Corinthian and a 2-0 win at Hollands & Blair.
They’ve also made a habit of late goals, scoring six times in the final 15 minutes of matches so far, including an 89th-minute equaliser against Whitstable Town.
Kick-off at the Christopher Russell Stadium is at 3pm.

The Christopher Russell Stadium is easily accessible on public transport:
By train: Barnehurst Station is just a 10-minute walk from the ground—this line runs regularly through Travelcard Zone 5
By bus: The 492 stops directly outside the ground
From central London: A direct Southeastern train from Charing Cross to Barnehurst takes around 40 minutes
There is parking in the school opposite the ground parking in the side streets that surround the ground.
