Phoenix back in action with Faversham Strikeforce the visitors on Saturday (3pm)

Phoenix return to DA7 on Saturday afternoon as they welcome Faversham Strikeforce to the Christopher Russell Stadium, aiming to put an end to a disappointing run of results.
Jake Goodman’s side will be looking to respond after a tough spell that has seen them suffer back-to-back 4–2 defeats in recent weeks.
Despite showing attacking promise, Phoenix have been left frustrated by defensive lapses and will be eager to produce a more disciplined performance in front of their home supporters this weekend.
There’s a boost for Goodman’s squad with the return of Lyle Della Verde, who is available again after serving a suspension. However, Tom Mitcham has this week made the decision to return to Corinthian, following a short stint at the club.
Saturday’s visitors Faversham Strikeforce come into the game in good form and full of confidence following an impressive 3–0 win over Kennington on Wednesday night. That result continued a strong recent run for the visitors, who have shown real improvement and attacking sharpness in front of goal. Phoenix will need to be at their best to keep them quiet and turn their own fortunes around.
With the squad determined to respond positively and the return of key players adding energy and experience, Goodman’s men will be targeting a strong home performance to get back on track in the SCEFL Premier Division.

The Christopher Russell Stadium is easily accessible on public transport:
By train: Barnehurst Station is just a 10-minute walk from the ground—this line runs regularly through Travelcard Zone 5
By bus: The 492 stops directly outside the ground
From central London: A direct Southeastern train from Charing Cross to Barnehurst takes around 40 minutes
There is parking in the school opposite the ground parking in the side streets that surround the ground. With a larger than usual attendance expected we're expecting it to be busier than usual.
