Match Preview: Phoenix vs Kennington
All the details ahead of Saturday's league clash with Kennington.

Phoenix Sports return to league action on Saturday afternoon when Kennington visit the Christopher Russell Stadium for a 3pm kick-off in the SCEFL Premier Division.
Jake Goodman’s side will be looking to build on their excellent league form and respond to Tuesday night’s narrow 1-0 defeat at AFC Greenwich Borough in the SCEFL Challenge Cup.
Phoenix made eight changes for that fixture, with Harry Gamble and Ola Noiki making their full debuts. Despite creating opportunities, Phoenix were unable to find the breakthrough, with Olu Obilana scoring the only goal of the game.
The defeat brought an end to a run of eight consecutive victories in all competitions, which included last Saturday’s emphatic 6-1 win over Faversham Strike Force to secure a place in the Third Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Vase.
Phoenix have won their last five league matches, most recently recording an impressive 5-1 victory away at Corinthian. Goals from Lyle Della-Verde, Ahkeem Belford, Khayrie Harris, Isaac Hadlow and Jamarie Brissett secured another convincing three points.
Kennington have also demonstrated their quality this season, with league victories including a 4-1 success against Larkfield & New Hythe, a 3-1 win over Tunbridge Wells and a 2-0 victory against Beckenham Town.
There was little to separate the sides last season, with both league meetings ending level. Phoenix drew 1-1 at Kennington in December before the teams shared four goals in a 2-2 draw at the Christopher Russell Stadium on the final day of the campaign.
With a busy November ahead and progress secured in both the FA Vase and Kent Senior Trophy, Goodman’s side will be hoping to give the home supporters more to celebrate on Saturday.
We will be marking Remembrance Day with a minute’s silence before kick-off on Saturday and we ask everyone to join us as we remember those who have served and sacrificed their lives at war.
Supporters can purchase poppies and make a donation to the Royal British Legion inside the clubhouse.
