Phoenix travel to the Culverden for first of four away games in October.

Phoenix Sports travel to Tunbridge Wells on Saturday afternoon looking to make it four wins in a row.

Jake Goodman’s side earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Larkfield & New Hythe last Saturday which followed a 3-0 home victory over Rusthall and a 3-2 win away at Erith & Belvedere.

Phoenix have now taken ten points from their last four league matches, with two clean sheets during that run. Saturday offers another opportunity to build on an encouraging September and continue climbing the table.

Tunbridge Wells have had a mixed start to the campaign, collecting nine points from their opening nine league matches. Their victories came against Chislehurst Glebe, whom they beat 6-0 in August, and Beckenham Town, where they won 1-0 last month.

More recently, Wells lost a 3-1 lead to draw against Corinthian before losing 2–0 at Hollands & Blair last Saturday.

They also suffered a 3-1 defeat at SC Thamesmead in the SCEFL Challenge Cup on Monday night and will be keen to respond on home soil.

Tunbridge managed two wins over Phoenix last season, including a 1-0 victory at the Culverden in a game that was twice postponed before eventually being played in March.

For Phoenix, the challenge is to maintain the standards that have brought three successive victories and break into the play-off positions for the first time this season.

To get to Culverden Stadium (home of Tunbridge Wells FC in the SCEFL), use SatNav with the postcode TN4 9SG, drive via the A21/London Road from the M25, or take a train to Tunbridge Wells station (a 1.5-mile walk or short taxi ride away), entering the ground via Culverden Down next to Bennett School.
