JAKE GOODMAN RETAINED FOR 2025/26 SEASON

The defender also takes up Assistant Manager Role

Phoenix Sports are delighted to confirm that experienced defender Jake Goodman will remain at the club for the 2025/26 season. In addition to continuing his role on the pitch, Goodman will step into a new position as first-team assistant manager, working alongside manager Darren Anslow.

Goodman, 31, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having played for clubs including AFC Wimbledon, Millwall, Margate and Dover Athletic. Since joining Phoenix Sports, he has been a key presence in the dressing room and on the pitch and manager Darren Anslow welcomed the news saying:

"Jake has been outstanding for us, both as a player and a professional. His knowledge, leadership, and commitment to the club made him the perfect choice to support me and the squad in a wider capacity."

Goodman’s dual role will see him join Sam Clarke-Keen as members of Anslow’s coaching staff next season.
