Phoenix Sports return to league action on Tuesday evening (7.45pm) when AFC Greenwich Borough visit the Christopher Russell Stadium.
Jake Goodman’s side head into the fixture off the back of progressing to the First Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Vase following Saturday’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Billingshurst.
Phoenix were seemingly crusiing at 4-1 up during an entertaining cup tie, and eventually secured a much-needed win, ending a run of disappointing results. The challenge now is to build on that performance and carry the momentum into the league.
AFC Greenwich Borough will provide a stern test after making an excellent start to the campaign. Tuesday’s visitors have collected ten points from their opening four league fixtures, while also progressing in the FA Vase.
Their impressive cup form has included a brilliant 4-3 victory over Isthmian League side Sittingbourne in the Emirates FA Cup, demonstrating the quality and confidence within their squad.
Phoenix will need to produce another strong display under the lights and if they are to secure another positive result. With the team back on home soil and buoyed by Saturday’s victory, Goodman’s side will be looking to reward the supporters and begin climbing the league table.

By bus: The 492 stops directly outside the ground
From central London: A direct Southeastern train from Charing Cross to Barnehurst takes around 40 minutes
There is parking in the school opposite the ground parking in the side streets that surround the ground. With a larger than usual attendance expected we're expecting it to be busier than usual.
