Phoenix Sports FC return home this Saturday aiming to make it three consecutive victories and strengthen their growing play-off push.

Standing in their way are Hollands & Blair FC, who arrive in excellent form and harbour promotion ambitions of their own. With both sides chasing the top end of the table, it looks set to be a crucial encounter at the Christopher Russell Stadium.

Phoenix have enjoyed an impressive run, securing back-to-back wins against top-five opposition. A dominant 4-0 victory over Rusthall FC at home was followed by an excellent 2-1 success away at Larkfield & New Hythe FC. Those results extended their unbeaten league run to ten matches and underlined their strong form.

The sides last met on the opening day of the season, when Phoenix delivered a below-par performance in a 1-0 defeat. However, both teams have undergone significant changes since that encounter.

Phoenix will be without long-term absentee Harry Smart, who is recovering from knee surgery, while Ahkeem Belford serves the second match of a three-game suspension.

Hollands & Blair, meanwhile, have won five of their last six matches and built their success on a strong defensive unit. Despite scoring just 38 goals this season, the third fewest in the league, their ability to keep clean sheets have propelled them into sixth place.

Striker Kane Rowland, with ten goals, has also been central to their rise.

After a week’s rest, the pitch is in great condition and Phoenix will be hoping home advantage can inspire another strong performance and deliver all three points in what promises to be a tightly contested clash.

The Christopher Russell Stadium is easily accessible on public transport:

  • By train: Barnehurst Station is just a 10-minute walk from the ground—this line runs regularly through Travelcard Zone 5

  • By bus: The 492 stops directly outside the ground

  • From central London: A direct Southeastern train from Charing Cross to Barnehurst takes around 40 minutes

There is parking in the school opposite the ground parking in the side streets that surround the ground. With a larger than usual attendance expected we're expecting it to be busier than usual.
