Holmesdale visit the Christopher Russell Stadium on Non-League Day

Phoenix return to the Christopher Russell Stadium this Saturday (3pm) for a special Non-League Day fixture, as they host Holmesdale FC looking to continue their strong home form and push further towards the play-off places.
Phoenix have been excellent on home soil of late, taking 13 points from a possible 15 in their last five matches. In that run, they’ve been particularly impressive in front of goal, hitting four against Larkfield, Rusthall and last time out against Hollands & Blair
Phoenix’s 11 match unbeaten run in the SCEFL Premier did grind to a halt on Tuesday night on a difficult pitch and horrible conditions in Tunbridge Well. But home advantage has been a key factor for Jake Goodman’s side, and they’ll be hoping it proves decisive once again this weekend.
Holmesdale arrive with ambitions of their own and will be keen to spoil the occasion and climb the table. Malachi Hudson has been a star man for Holmesdale so far this season - scoring 11 goals.
Phoenix lost the previous meeting between the sides 4-2 but will be confident they are a much stronger side now, having built a strong, competitive team over recent months.
Phoenix remain without long-term absentee Harry Smart, who continues his recovery from knee surgery, but Ahkeem Belford returns having served his three-match suspension.

The Christopher Russell Stadium is easily accessible on public transport:
By train: Barnehurst Station is just a 10-minute walk from the ground—this line runs regularly through Travelcard Zone 5
By bus: The 492 stops directly outside the ground
From central London: A direct Southeastern train from Charing Cross to Barnehurst takes around 40 minutes
There is parking in the school opposite the ground parking in the side streets that surround the ground. With a larger than usual attendance expected we're expecting it to be busier than usual.
