Phoenix visit the G.I Landscapes Stadium on Saturday

Weather permitting, Phoenix will be hoping to turn a recent run of draws in to a win when they travel to face Snodland Town on Saturday (3pm).
Jake Goodman’s side played out a 1–1 draw at home to Sutton Athletic last weekend, their third 1–1 stalemate in four matches and were left feeling frustrated as they missed a string of good chances.
That result did stretch Phoenix’s unbeaten sequence to eight games, with their last defeat coming back in November against Whitstable Town but they know wins will be key as they head into a crucial stage of the season.
Snodland currently sit fifth in both the league table and the form table and arrive in strong shape, having won their last two league matches against Hythe Town and Holmesdale.
They will provide a stern test for Phoenix, although their home form has been patchy winning just four matches at the where they have been difficult to beat.
The hosts’ main threat comes from veteran forward Charlie Sheringham, who has scored 11 goals this season. Sheringham found the net against Phoenix in the reverse fixture and has been in fine recent form, scoring three times in his last two appearances.
Phoenix will take confidence from their defensive solidarity in recent weeks as they edge closer to the play-off places. Goodman’s men will be aiming to turn draws into wins and claim a valuable three points on the road against one of the division’s in-form sides.
