Phoenix travel to Snodland for crucial SCEFL clash

Phoenix travel to the G.I. Landscapes Stadium this Saturday (3pm) for a pivotal clash in the race for SCEFL Premier Division play-off places.
A strong March saw Phoenix win four of five, including emphatic victories over Rusthall and Hollands & Blair, plus an impressive away success at Larkfield & New Hythe. Jake Goodman’s side know a similarly strong April is required to break into the play-off spots, starting with a result at Snodland.
Snodland have added some notable signings recently but come into this game with just one win in their last seven — a 4-2 home victory over Faversham Strikeforce. They remain tough to beat at home, though, with their last defeat there coming in November against Stansfeld.
Charlie Sheringham has led the line with 12 goals this season, including one in September’s reverse fixture, while recent arrival Steve Townsend adds further attacking depth.
Phoenix were beaten 4-2 in that earlier meeting between the sides but head into this contest in stronger form, bolstered by recent additions including Nathaniel Olawole - who scored for Snodland in that game and could make his debut against his former side this weekend.
Both sides will know losing this match could mean the end of their play-off push while any winner will be banging on the door of the league’s top five.

Snodland Town’s G.I. Landscapes Stadium (ME6 5DP) is easily accessible by both car and public transport. By road, it’s just a few minutes from the M20 (Junction 4), with parking available nearby at the ground. If travelling by train, Snodland station is around a 10–15 minute walk from the stadium, with regular services from Maidstone and Strood. Local bus routes also serve the area, stopping within walking distance,
