Tunbridge Wells to be Phoenix's first opponents of 2026.

Phoenix will be hoping to kick off 2026 on Saturday afternoon at the second time of asking as they travel to Tunbridge Wells.
Last week’s home clash with Hollands & Blair was called off due to freezing conditions, and Phoenix will be hoping Saturday’s match does not meet the same fate, with Storm Goretti forecast to bring high winds, snow and rain to much of the country.
They will be looking to build on a run of five unbeaten games, which has included dominant 4–0 victories over Hythe Town and Larkfield.
However, their last two outings have both ended in 1–1 draws, and Jake Goodman’s side will be keen to turn those stalemates into wins. With 14 league games remaining, Phoenix sit four points outside the play-off places.
Tunbridge Wells have played just one league match in the past seven weeks, a 2–0 defeat away at Rusthall and have not hosted a home league fixture since 1 November, when they claimed a 3–2 victory over Bearsted.
With both teams believing a play-off push is achievable in 2026, Saturday’s encounter promises to be a significant match in the race for fifth place.

To get to Culverden Stadium (home of Tunbridge Wells FC in the SCEFL), use SatNav with the postcode TN4 9SG, drive via the A21/London Road from the M25, or take a train to Tunbridge Wells station (a 1.5-mile walk or short taxi ride away), entering the ground via Culverden Down next to Bennett School.
